## Introduction and Service Overview

The success of the enforcement process depends directly on how clearly, unambiguously, and enforceably the decision of a court or other body is formulated in the writ of execution. In practice, there are frequent cases where the operative part of a court decision (i.e., the part directly subject to enforcement) contains ambiguities, equivocal phrases, technical inaccuracies, or fails to specify the exact mechanism of the action to be performed. In such instances, the execution officer is deprived of the ability to carry out coercive measures, as they cannot step outside the text of the decision and have no right to interpret the judge's intent themselves. This creates a deadlock and hinders the administration of justice. To solve this problem, a special legal mechanism is used—the request for interpretation of an enforceable decision. This service involves the creditor, debtor, or the execution officer themselves applying to the decision-making body so that it can clarify and make the content of the decision lucid without altering its essence.

The interpretation of a decision is a swift and effective legal instrument that precludes the unlawfulness of enforcement actions and additional disputes between the parties. It ensures that the legally binding act is enforced exactly as intended by objective truth and the court's inner conviction.

### Can the court change the awarded amount during interpretation?

No. By law, interpreting a decision strictly means clarifying ambiguity without altering the substance, outcome, or the awarded amount of the original judgment.

### Is there a state fee for filing an interpretation request?

Generally, filing a motion for the interpretation of an already issued court decision is exempt from additional state court fees, as it is a procedural extension of the existing case.

### Can the execution officer request an interpretation themselves?

Yes. If the execution officer finds the court decision unclear and practically unenforceable, they have the legal right to apply directly to the court for clarification.
