# Certification of Signatures, Copies and Extracts — Document Dossier Management

> Source: legal.ge, https://legal.ge/en/service/notariat-and-civil-acts-en/certification-of-signatures-copies-and-extracts-document-dossier-management-en

Notarial certification of signatures, copies and extracts is the most frequently needed document work, and its price is set by the official notarial tariff — the Rules approved by Government of Georgia Resolution No. 507 of 29 December 2011, as amended by Resolution No. 272 of 30 May 2022. Since 2022 the price depends on the length of the document: certifying a signature on a one-page document costs 6 GEL, and certifying a copy of a one-page document costs 4 GEL. Below we explain how each item is calculated and how a complete document package is planned so that everything is done in a single visit.

## Certifying the authenticity of a signature

Under Article 31 of the Rules, certification of a signature is charged at a fixed rate per signature, depending on the length of the document:

-   one-page document — 6 GEL;
-   2 to 10 pages — 4 GEL;
-   11 to 50 pages — 3 GEL;
-   51 pages or more — 2 GEL.

This is the act a bank, a public authority or a partner abroad asks for when the authenticity of your signature matters — on an application, a request or another document. If several signatures are certified in one visit, each is charged separately, so check in advance which documents the receiving party actually needs.
