
Lawyer
Nino Bazikoshvili is a lawyer and researcher with over 15 years of experience in the fields of constitutional law, administrative law, human rights protection and legal consultancy. She is currently an affiliated researcher at the Institute of East European Law (IOR) and a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Law of the University of Regensburg. Her research interests include comparative constitutional law, judicial independence and institutional reforms in transition democracies. Nino received her education at the Georgian American University (GAU), where she earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees. In parallel, she is studying for a doctorate at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University and has completed the Rule of Law Summer School at SWPS University in Poland. Over the years, Nino has led a number of important projects in the non-governmental and public sectors. She is the Chair of the “Law and Equality Center”, where she coordinates the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities and vulnerable groups, and was the Director of the Human Rights and Justice Program of the “Reforms and Research Group”. In 2023-2024, she led the large-scale information campaign “You in the European Union”, which aimed to support Georgia’s European integration process. She also has extensive legal practice in the field of private and medical law, including the position of Senior Lawyer in the Vakhtang Bochorishvili Clinic and other large medical corporations. Her work experience also includes work in the Chancellery of the Government of Georgia. Nino Bazikoshvili is the author of numerous academic publications, textbooks, and research papers on electoral technologies, legal aspects of surrogacy, and universal design standards. She is fluent in Georgian, English, Russian, German, Greek, and Turkish.
