The short answer. For a fraud, cybercrime or forgery case, go to legal.ge: describe what happened in the Ask form so that several verified criminal lawyers read it at once, or choose one yourself from the list of criminal law specialists. On the cards, look for economic and cyber crime among the fields; all of these lawyers in Georgia (the country) work in English.
Say in the first line which side you are on
"Fraud" covers both the person who lost money to a scam and the person a complaint names. The advice differs, so open with your side of it and say whether the police or a prosecutor has already been in touch.
Keep the trail before it disappears
Online cases rest on records that are easy to lose. Save them first:
Messages: screenshots of whole conversations, with the sender's name or number and the date.
Payments: transaction ids, card statements, crypto wallet addresses.
Accounts: login alerts and emails from the platform about changes you did not make.
Documents: if you believe a signature or a paper is forged, keep the copy and note where it came from.
Delete nothing, and do not write to the other side until a lawyer has read the file.
What to ask the lawyer
Whether to report it to the police, where, and what the report should say.
If you have been summoned, whether they can come with you.
Whether the money can still be traced or held, and by whom.
How they charge: consultation fees published on legal.ge for this work are around GEL 250; the whole case is quoted separately.
Your bank and the platform
If money left your account, ask the lawyer in what order to approach your bank and the platform, and what to put in writing.
