Aihan Hasanli

Ayhan Hasanli (Gasanov) is a lawyer with general specialization, mediator, certified trainer and civil rights defender. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Tbilisi State University (TSU) and a Master of Public Law and Politics from Ilia State University. As a member of the Georgian Bar Association, he has additional narrow specializations in children’s rights (civil law) and juvenile justice (criminal law), and is also a member of the Georgian Mediators Association. Since 2019, Ayhan Hasanli (Gasanov) has been actively working in the non-governmental sector and currently holds the position of a lawyer and advocate at the organization “Safari”. He is also the current Chairman/Captain of the NGO “Platforma Salam” and the co-founder of the “Yormuganlo Community Center”. At various times, he has managed and coordinated a number of legal and civic projects, including, in 2020–2023, he worked as a regional lawyer for the Joint Civil Movement “Multinational Georgia (PMMG)” at the Social and Economic Rights Empowerment Centers (SEREC). Since 2020, Ayhan Hasanli (Gasanov) has been engaged in active practical activities in the field of law, which includes effective representation and protection of clients’ interests in general courts, administrative bodies, and in relations with third parties. Since 2023, after joining the Georgian Bar Association, he has obtained full legal practice with general specialization, on the basis of which he offers complex legal services to individuals and legal entities. His professional portfolio includes the preparation of legal positions in civil, administrative and criminal cases, court representation, strategic analysis and development of contracts, consulting, highly professional protection of the rights of the accused, victims and witnesses at all stages of investigation, imposition of preventive measures and substantive consideration of the case. In-depth narrow specialization in juvenile justice allows him to lead the process of protecting the rights of minors with special sensitivity and prioritizing the best interests of the child in the criminal prosecution process, and, at the same time, to protect the interests of the client as much as possible through alternative dispute resolution (mediation). Along with his practical legal work, Ayhan Hasanli (Gasanov) is a certified trainer by the Justice Training Center, having conducted more than 200 trainings. He holds internationally recognized certificates and qualifications in NATO, the European Union, non-violent advocacy, leadership, and electoral technologies. Since 2018, he has been actively involved in human rights advocacy for ethnic minorities and monitoring electoral processes, which emphasizes his versatile professional experience and high civic responsibility.
