Lawyer Ioseb Gabaraev was born on September 24, 1981 in the city of Gori. In 2003, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law of the Gori University of Economics and Humanities. In 2011, he continued his studies at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, specializing in criminal law. In 2022, he successfully defended his dissertation on the topic “Qualification Issues of Sexual Crimes Committed with Violence” and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Law. He has been practicing law since 2004. In 2007–2019, he worked as a lawyer at the Shida Kartli Bureau of the Legal Aid Service of the Legal Aid Service of Georgia, and since 2019, he has continued his private law practice with a general specialization. In parallel, he has been involved in academic activities for many years. Since March 2024, he has been a professor at Tbilisi International University, and since October 2024, an associate professor at the Georgian National Defense Academy; also, since 2025, a professor at Tbilisi Humanitarian University. Since 2005, an invited specialist at Gori State University. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the organization “Georgian Lawyers for an Independent Profession”. His activities include promoting the professional development and raising legal awareness of lawyers, organizing trainings, workshops and international study visits. He is the author of several scientific articles, participates in national and international scientific conferences, including the annual conferences and professional meetings of the European Law Institute (ELI), including as a speaker. Since 2024, he has been a member of the World Association of Medical Law. He has passed the qualification exams for lawyers, prosecutors and judges in the criminal justice specialty. He has undergone numerous professional trainings in criminal law, judicial skills, European human rights standards, domestic violence and juvenile justice. For the purpose of professional development, he has repeatedly visited EU institutions, including the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union, on study visits. The main areas of professional activity are criminal law, criminal procedure, juvenile justice, human rights, sexual crimes and medical criminal law.

Trust is the foundation of the legal relationship between a lawyer and a client. The client entrusts the lawyer not only with a legal problem, but often with his personal life, reputation and future. Therefore, the profession of a lawyer is not based only on legal knowledge - it requires ethical responsibility, confidentiality and integrity. From a philosophical point of view, trust means the belief that the other party will act honestly and in accordance with professional duties. For a lawyer, this means protecting the interests of the client, but not at the expense of law and justice. Here a balance is struck between loyalty and professional obligation. Strong trust between a lawyer and a client promotes open communication, which is ultimately a necessary prerequisite for effective legal assistance. Without trust, this relationship becomes formal and loses its main value - the real possibility of legal protection of a person.
