Liana Zagashvili is a lawyer from Georgia who completed her bachelor's degree at Ilia State University in 2020. In 2022, she was awarded a master's degree at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University and has been pursuing her doctoral studies at the same university since 2023. Her experience combines knowledge gained in both the private sector and public institutions. She was nominated twice within the framework of the Erasmus + exchange program and was in the doctoral research program, in 2025 in Cyprus, at the Open University, and in 2026 in Spain, at the Universidad de Cadiz. Liana has been employed as a personal data protection officer in various institutions and since 2020 has held the position of an expert on accreditation and authorization of higher educational institutions. His research interests include artificial intelligence and copyright protection in literary works. He has published numerous articles on copyright and intellectual property.
Liana Zagashvili is an energetic, purposeful and responsible lawyer from Georgia, whose professional philosophy is based on an unwavering belief in law as a driving force for social progress. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Ilia State University and a master’s degree from Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, and is currently a doctoral candidate at the same university. Her career experience combines work in both the private and public sectors. Liana holds the position of Personal Data Protection Officer and has been an expert in accreditation and authorization of higher education institutions since 2020. Her main research interests are the intersection of artificial intelligence and copyright, in particular, issues of protection of literary works. Liana believes that the mission of a lawyer, along with interpreting the law, is to shape the legal framework of the future - to create a system that ensures justice, transparency, and the protection of fundamental human rights, even in the face of technological challenges.
Liana Zagashvili holds the position of an Invited Lecturer at the University of Georgia and teaches the course: "Professional Skills for Lawyers."
